Ghana international Alidu Seidu has opened up on playing for the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars.
The Clermont Foot defender has been a regular player for the national team since making his debut for the Black Stars in 2022. He was part of the team at the World Cup in Qatar.
In an interview, the enterprising right-back disclosed it’s a huge honour for him to represent Ghana at the international level.
“It’s big privilege for me representing my country and it’s a special thing in my career because all footballers are dreaming to play for their motherland and me playing for my motherland, I think it’s a big achievement for me” he told Ghana FA communications.
Seidu impressed as the Black Stars defeated the Central African Republic in Kumasi to qualify for the Nations Cup.
The West African powerhouse secured AFCON 2023 qualification last Thursday with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Central African Republic in Kumasi. The win ensured Ghana finished top of their group.
The four-time African champions will engage Liberia in an international friendly on Tuesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
