Karela United returned to winning ways after picking a 2-1 victory over Kotoku Royals at Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Sunday in week 17 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The win means Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko's side maintains their place in 14th (with 22 points) while the newcomers also remain bottom with 10 points.
Kharim Ayeh gave the Pride and Passion side the lead 12 minutes into the game against the bottom club.
The visitors found the equalizer six minutes later through Richard Dzikoe.
Evans Adomako made it 2-1 for Karela United with a 35th minute penalty as they head into the break with the lead.
There were no further goals in the second half as the hosts held on for the victory.
Karela United will travel to Tamale to play Tamale City next Sunday while Kotoku Royals will play as visitors to Accra Lions a day earlier.
