A top second-half performance from Aduana Stars on Sunday afternoon saw the team come from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Samartex FC in the Ghana Premier League.

The Ghanaian top-flight league newcomers started the game as the underdog but put up a fantastic fight.

Two minutes before the half-hour mark, Samartex FC had the breakthrough to upset the odds as Emmanuel Keyekeh equalized to give the team the lead.

Three minutes before the halftime break, the visiting team had a good chance and made it count.

Against the run of play, Abubakari Seidu scored to double the lead for Samartex FC in fine fashion.

Pegged behind, Aduana Stars returned from recess to play some good football. In the 54th minute, the home team was awarded a penalty kick. Experienced attacker Sam Adams accepted the responsibility from 12 yards and scored to halve the deficit for his team.

Thanks to the resilience of the home side, the team managed to force the match to end in a 2-2 draw thanks to a 79th-minute strike from Kwame Frimpong.
