Telecommunication giants, MTN Ghana has committed $2m to the Black Stars ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

According to media reports, MTN Ghana has now become a new headline sponsor for the Black Stars as the team gears up for the Mundial in Qatar.

The West African country is among the five countries that will represent the continent in the global showpiece in Doha.

The Black Stars will officially open camp for the Mundial on November 10 in Abu Dhabi.

The strength of the team will be tested against Switzerland in a friendly on November 17.

Otto Addo, who is the head coach of the side will announce his final squad for the tournament on November 14.

Ghana who has been housed in Group H will open their campaign against Portugal on November 24 at Stadium 974 in Doha.

Four days later, the Black Stars return to action with a clash with South Korea at the Education City Stadium in Al Rayyan.

Ghana will wrap up their group stage adventure with their much-anticipated encounter with Uruguay at Al Janoub Stadium in Al Wakrah.

The 22nd edition of the World Cup has been scheduled to kick off from November 20 to December 18.
