The management of Ghana Premier League defending champions, Asante Kotoko, has rejected complimentary tickets from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to watch Ghana's 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola on Thursday at Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi-based Kessben FM have reported.
All clubs in the Ghanaian top flight were offered five tickets by the GFA to watch the Black Stars' 1-0 win over the Palancas Negras.
The 17 other Ghana Premier League clubs picked up their tickets to watch the game but the record Ghanaian champions did not show up for the tickets.
It is believed there is some sort of rivalry between the management of Asante Kotoko and the Ghana FA.
There are reports Chief Executive Officer of the club, Nana Yaw Amponsah, is set to face off with GFA President Kurt Okraku for the seat in this coming October's FA Presidential Election.
The two were among the candidates in the last election, with Kurt triumphing ultimately and now seeking re-election.
