German-born Ghanaian winger Agyemang Diawusie has joined German third division club SSV Jahn Regensburg in the ongoing summer transfer window.

Agyemang Diawusie played for the SSV till the age of 13 before joining the FC Nürnberg U16 squad. He is currently returning to his former workplace, six years later. Over the course of a few days, the 25-year-old was able to impress as a guest player in training.

"By signing Agyemang, we gain more options for our offensive," explains Achim Beierlorzer, sporting director of SSV Jahn.

"Work on his potential for improvement and bring him to the level that he has in himself,"

Recently, the winger has lost some consistency. Agyemang Diawusie only scored one goal and two assists in 17 games for demoted Bayreuth last season, failing to stop the club's relegation to the fourth division.

He previously played for Wiesbaden, Ingolstadt, Dresden, and Bayreuth. He also played briefly at SV Ried in Austria.
