Queens Park Rangers forward, Albert Adomah has paid tribute to his former national teammate Christian Atsu, who passed away in the wake of an earthquake in Turkey and Syria.
The Ghanaian winger was described as a humble and religious person by Adomah, who shared a room and pitch with him during their time with the Black Stars.
The 35-year-old has nothing but positive recollections of his former teammate, despite the fact that Atsu's outstanding performances frequently hampered Adomah's opportunities to play frequently for the national side.
In an interview with Sky Sports, Adomah expressed his condolences to Atsu's family and spoke of his former roommate's kind and loving personality.
"It's still taken time to bear it and take it in. My condolences to his family. He was one of my teammates, my roommate and a very humble person.
"Words can't describe him, he was so kind, loving and was a holy person as well," he added.
"Atsu is very quite sometimes but when you get to know him well, he is a very fun person to be around."
Christian Atsu's mortal remains have arrived in Ghana ahead of his final funeral rites. The late winger played for several European clubs, including Porto, Everton, and Newcastle United, during his career.
Atsu was also an integral part of the Ghana national team, making 42 appearances and scoring nine goals.
