Ghana defender Alidus Seidu has thanked God for a successful surgery on his meniscus.
Clermont Foot player is set to be out of action for approximately a month after undergoing the knee surgery.
The 22-year-old suffered the injury during a Ligue 1 match between Clermont Foot and Lille.
He took to social media to say, "Alhamdulillah", which translates, "Praise be to God".
Because of his injury, Seidu is likely to miss the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers next month.
Clermont Foot confirmed the successful surgery on social media, stating that the player's rehabilitation process would begin next week.
"Alidu Seidu's knee operation went well. Next step for our warrior: rehabilitation starting next week. The whole club is behind you champion."
Seidu has been a key player for Clermont Foot this season, appearing in 20 Ligue 1 matches. His absence will be a significant blow for the French club, which lost its last game against AS Monaco 2-0.
The versatile defender was also a part of Ghana's squad at the World Cup in Qatar, playing in the matches against Portugal and Uruguay.
