The head coach of the Central African Republic national team, Raoul Savoy has confirmed that he is staying to continue the work although he failed to qualify the country for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Speaking after his side lost 2-1 to Ghana on Thursday, the Swiss-Spanish coach said the attention will not turn to the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
“We are building a team, now the World Cup qualifiers are coming, step by step we are building a team. Of course it will be better to build a team when you are playing AFCON but this time we did not qualify. We are going to work and keep working and I think you guys are going to hear about us in the next couple of weeks and months, I can assure you,” Coach Raoul Savoy said.
