Former Asante Kotoko goalkeeper, Joe Carr believes the Black Stars lost to Brazil due to panic.

In the September international break, Ghana as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2022 World Cup engaged the five-time World Cup at the Le Harve in France.

Three goals in the first half was enough as Tite’s side sealed the win despite an impressive performance from the African country in the second half.

However, Ghana recorded a narrow 1-0 win over 139th-ranked Nicaragua in their second game.

But the former Ghana goalkeeper speaking in an interview said the Black Stars suffered the defeat due to panic.

“I watched the two friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua, and what I realized was that while the Stars lost against Brazil as a result of panic by our players, and their desire to whitewash the Nicaragua team to make amends for their heavy loss against Brazil caused the Black Stars to squander numerous chances created,” Carr told Graphic Sports.

Ghana will face Switzerland in their game as part of their preparations before the team fly to Qatar.

The Black Stars have been housed in Group H alongside Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay for the Mundial that will kick off from November 20 to December 18.
