Black Galaxies media officer William Amponsah disclosed the technical team will inspect the pitch and advise the team on how to avoid slipping in their 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) quarterfinal game against Niger.
In their opening game of the tournament in Constantine, the Ghanaian players slipped through the match, with the first goal coming as a result of a slip.
Annor Walker’s side will take on the Nigeriens at Miloud Hadefi Stadium in Oran on Saturday.
Ahead of the game, Bossman said they have found a solution to the slipping and will determine the boots to wear after inspecting the pitch.
“The pitch was just laid fresh that is why the players were slipping. The watering they also did made it difficult for the players and they were slipping,” he told Asempa FM.
“We have found a solution to the players slipping on the pitch. When you watch the game against Sudan, the players didn’t slip much.
“Today we will go and inspect the pitch in Oran and the coaches will advise the players on how to play.
“The technical team will inspect the pitch and advise the players on which boots to use.
“The pitches we will play the matches on, we don’t train there, CAF has provided different ones for training.”
