Black Galaxies media officer, William Bossman, has revealed Annor Walker has a plan in place to make up for Daniel Afriyie’s absence in their 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) quarterfinal game against Niger.
The now FC Zurich forward was red carded toward the end of the clash against Sudan after scoring the second goal in the 3-1 win.
Bossman also stated that Afriyie will also be essiential to the team even though he won’t be available for selection.
“When I spoke to coach Annor Walker, he made it known to me that Daniel Afriyie’s absence will affect the team but he has equally good players who can step up in the absence of Daniel Afriyie,” Bossman told Asempa FM.
“He also told me that he has a plan he will adopt in the absence of Afriyie to ensure his absence doesn’t affect the team too much.
“It is when we finish today’s technical meeting that CAF officials will let us know how many games Daniel Afriyie will miss.
“Apart from his duties on the pitch, he is also essential for the team in terms of morale heading into the Niger game.”
