Ghana's head coach, Chris Hughton has acknowledged the national team’s impressive record when playing at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

In recent years, the iconic Stadium in Kumasi has become a fortress for the Black Stars.

Speaking at a pre-match press conference ahead of the game against Central African Republic, Coach Chris Hughton says Ghana will aim to record a win to maintain that record.

“We are conscious of what this game means not only for the nation but myself, the players, and everybody involved. We know what this game means. We will do everything we can to get the result that we want to get. Preparations have been good. We are playing at home. We have a good record here and we want to continue that,” Chris Hughton told the press on Wednesday evening.

The game between Ghana and the Central African Republic is scheduled to be played on Thursday, September 7.

The final Group E encounter of the qualifiers for the 2023 AFCON is scheduled to kick off at 16:00gmt.
