Ghana head coach, Chris Hughton, has led Ghana to qualify for the 2023 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) following their 2-1 win against the Central African Republic on Thursday.
The Black Stars came from a goal down to pick the three points that sealed their spot against the Wild Beasts at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion boss, who was appointed head coach of the four-time African champions, took charge of four qualifying games.
His first game was against Angola at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in March, where they won by a lone goal scored by Antoine Semenyo.
The reverse fixture of that game was a 1-1 draw in Angola, followed by a goalless draw against Madagascar away in the June international break.
It is now 41 years since Ghana last won the Africa Cup of Nations title and will be hoping to end the drought in Ivory Coast next January.
