Players who missed out on the action during Ghana’s final Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against the Central African Republic are in line to get some minutes during the friendly with Liberia next week.
Ghana hosted the Group E opponent at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Thursday, September 7.
In a game in which the Black Stars struggled to compete, the side still managed to come from behind to record a narrow 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
It was thanks to goals from poster boy Mohammed Kudus and new forward Ernest Nuamah.
Due to the crucial nature of the game, Coach Chris Hughton did not have the luxury to try new things or give chances to some of the fringe players.
This will not be the case on Tuesday, September 12, when the Black Stars host their counterpart from Liberia in a friendly match.
New players and players who do not play regularly in the national team are expected to be given the chance by coach Chris Hughton to justify their call-up.
The friendly with Liberia is scheduled to be played at the Accra Sports Stadium.
