Portuguese outfit, CS Marítimo have announced the signing of Ghanaian attacker Francis Cann.
The winger has signed a two-year deal with the club and will be expected to play a key role for the side in the upcoming football season.
“Francis Cann is a player for Marítimo. The 25-year-old Ghanaian-born winger has committed himself to the Biggest of the Isles for two seasons. The new Leão do Almirante Reis arrived in Portugal in 2016/2017 to represent Vizela, playing in the juniors. In the seniors, the left-footed player's career has always been inseparable from the Vizelians, a club to which he maintained a contractual link during his loan spells with Vitória SC, CD Mafra and, last season, with Saudi Al-Hazam. In Arabia, Francis Cann was a colleague of Joel Tagueu. In 2021/2022, the winger was vital for Vizela's rise to the I Liga, playing 32 games in all competitions, in addition to having left his mark on the scorer list 5 times.
