Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobie has discussed strategies to be adopted by the stakeholders in the football fraternity to ensure high attendance at the various stadia.

Hon. Evans Opoku Bobie (MP) spoke at the Sports Dialogue meeting organised by Asempa FM at the Accra Digital Centre to deliberate on the poor stadium attendance and to proffer solutions to end the phenomenon.

A lot of football administrators, football fans, and pundits have discussed the problem and solutions publicly.

According to him, technology is one of the tools that could be considered because in this modern era, football fans expect certain services and entertainment when attending to match venues.

These includes ease of access to and from the stadium, free access to internet or WiFi at the stadium among others.

He also indicated that effective communication should be adopted by stakeholders in the football industry to effectively communicate to the fans through traditional and social media and also informed supporters of what they should expect during or after the match day.

In addition, safety and security at stadiums must be handled well, match organisers or the NSA must beef up security to enhance safety of every football supporter at the stadium during and after the match.

He further charged the owners of the football teams or administrators to make judicious use of gate proceeds or be accountable to the fans.
