German-born Ghanaian attacker Erich Berko scored in Hallescher FC's 3-2 win against SV Meppen on Saturday afternoon.

In the 23rd minute, Hallescher FC took the lead thanks to Erich Berko. The next setback for Meppen occurred shortly before halftime when David Vogt received his second caution. At halftime, the margin between the two teams was one goal in favor of the HFC. Samuel Abifade was replaced by Christoph Hemlein at SVM to start the second half.

Instead of Berko, Sebastian Müller was in the game for Hallescher FC after the restart. Stefan Krämer relied on new staff and brought on Lukas Eixler and Marvin Pourié with a double substitution in the 56th minute. Eixler shot for SV Meppen's first goal in the 57th minute.

Tom Zimmerschied brought the ball over the line to make it 2-1 in favor of Halle in the 60th minute. Lukas Mazagg sensed his chance and shot in the ball to make it 2-2 for Meppen in the 74th minute. All signs were already pointing to a draw when Timur Gayret gave HFC the lead with a goal in added time. Finally, Hallescher FC got the big points against the direct relegation competitor and celebrated a 3-2 victory.
