Ghana midfielder Kudus Mohammed has emerged as a transfer target for French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice, Footballghana.com can report.

The Ligue outfit who are looking forward to strengthening their midfield for the 2022/23 season has set sights on the Ghana star.

Footballghana.com can disclose Nice are keeping an insistent eye on the former Nordsjaelland midfielder as they seek to sign him this summer.

Nice could face competition from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspurs who recently expressed interest in the player.

Meanwhile, the Ghanaian youngster appeared dissatisfied with his substitute role at Ajax season opener despite having a good preseason.

After performing well in pre-season, the Ghana international expected to start Ajax's first game of the season, but manager Alfred Schreuder preferred a substitute role for the Kudus, who recently turned 22.

Kudus was visibly disappointed as he approached the field in the 90th minute of the game against Fortuna Sittard. He came on in place of Steven Bergwijn and played only three minutes before the game ended, with Ajax winning 3-2.

After the match, the Right to Dream Academy graduate posted cryptic messages on his social media page, and people are interpreting it as Kudus not being happy at Ajax, which is a boost for Tottenham in their pursuit of the midfielder.

This could propel the Ghanaian player to accept a move away from Ajax this summer.

Mohammed Kudus joined Ajax in the summer of 2020 from Danish outfit FC Nordsjaelland. He is under contract until 2025.
