Ghanaian striker Kwame Peprah is keen to leave Orlando Pirates in search of more playing time ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, according to reports.
The 21-year-old, who was one of the standout players for Pirates last season has made just four appearances this season and is yet to find the back of the net.
Peprah had some offers in the summer transfer window but opted to stay and make a mark at Pirates before leaving the club, however, Bienvenu Eva Nga and Zakhele Lepasa are preferred upfront under new coach Jose Riveiro this season.
“It is the World Cup year and he had hoped that he might get a chance to be considered for the Ghana national team if he continued his performances from last season," a source said as quoted by citizen.co.za.
“That is why he was initially uncomfortable with making a move now. He wanted to be at a place where he is comfortable and performing.
“But now he has realised that the system the new coach uses is not favourable to him and he might not get as much game time as he would love to. That is why he now wants to go elsewhere."
