Ghana international Alidu Seidu has expressed his excitement after helping the Black Stars secure qualification for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Black Stars secured qualification on Thursday with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Central African Republic in Kumasi. The win ensured Ghana finished top of their group.
The Clermont Foot defender was rock-solid at the back when Ghana came from behind to snatch victory over their opponent at the Baba Yara Stadium.
After the game, Seidu took to social media to express his joy following Ghana’s AFCON qualification.
“QUALIFICATION 2024 AFCON … THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT” he tweeted.
The Black Stars returned to Accra on Thursday night and will begin immediate preparations for the friendly against Liberia.
