The Ghanaian duo of Majeed Ashimeru and Francis Amuzu were in action for RSC Anderlecht in the clash against Ludogorets on Thursday night.
In the second leg of the Round 32 tie in the Europa Conference League, Francis Amuzu started the game in the attack while Majeed Ashimeru was named on the substitute bench. He was given a chance to help the team in the second half.
Following a good start to the game, a Franco Russo own goal in the 13th minute handed RSC Anderlecht the lead.
Later in the second half, Yari Verschaeren equalised in the 68th minute to double the lead for the home team and an advantage on aggregate.
However, after a strike from Igor Thiago in the 71st minute, Ludogorets managed to force the game into extra time.
With no goals at the end of 120 minutes, it all came down to penalties.
Fortunately, for Majeed Ashimeru and Francis Amuzu, Anderlecht secured a win at the end of the shootout to advance to Round 16 of the Europa Conference League.
