Ghana is looking for a coach and former Eleven Wonders coach Frimpong Manso has urged the Ghana Football Association to appoint an experienced coach.
Otto Addo resigned as head coach for the senior national team the Black Stars after Ghana's last group game against Uruguay on December 2nd.
Ghana in Group H beat South Korea 3-2 and lost against Portugal (3-2) and Uruguay (2-0).
Coaches like Thomas Tuchel, Paolo Bento, Dragan Stojković, Tom Saintfiet, Chris Hughton, and George Boateng have been linked to the senior national team's top job.
"I think we need a coach who is very experienced when it comes to world football when can also groom someone locally from now to that time. I think we can do that and then we can search from outside too some of their coaches...today football is a global thing players have naturalised for other countries," he told Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com
So it is possible that an expatriate can come here and also work it is also acceptable we don't have some here maybe the quality that we pick if we are to appoint an expatriate we have to pick the one that has a high pedigree and he should be someone who will take decisions whether it will please someone or not. Those are the things we should look at and then also the team itself needs time we shouldn't pick a coach and immediately after one tournament then we sack and search for a new one No!,"
"The coach that we will appoint should be five the next five years till the next World Cup we have to give that time if not everyday we will be appointing and changing it doesn't matter how good the person is if he doesn't get time he can't do anything football apart from getting your team you need time to also make sure that the team works or the team performs to a certain level. If we can't get that time for the coach then this is how we will for a tournament and return early,"
