Ghana international Joseph Paintsil has shared his excitement after scoring his 10th goal of the season in KRC Genk’s win over KAA Gent in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League.

Painstil started and lasted 84 minutes in his sides 3-2 away win over Gent on Sunday night.

He registered his name on the scoresheet as his side cruised to victory. The former Tema Youth winger was also named the Man of the match in that five-goal thriller.

“Solid team performance last night! Thank God for goal number 10. Eyes on the next hurdle” he tweeted.

The home team shot into the lead through Hyun-Seok Hong after just nine minutes but Joseph Paintsil scored to level pegging in the 23rd minute to make it 1-1.

It was his third goal in three consecutive games for Genk. He scored against Seraing last weekend and Eupen in midweek.

After the break, the visitors doubled their lead through Collins Sor, who scored in the 62nd minute.

Nigerian striker Toluwalase Arokodare added Genk’s third goal of the game in the 86th minute but Laurent Depoitre pulled one back for Gent two minutes later to make 3-2 at the end of the game.

The 25-year-old is enjoying an amazing campaign, scoring 10 goals and providing 9 assists in the Belgian top-flight.
