Ghanaian forward, Godson Kyeremeh was in action for SM Caen on Wednesday in the French Cup match against Vire.

The two French clubs locked horns at the Ornano stadium in a Round 8 encounter of the domestic cup competition.

Although Godson Kyeremeh would miss out on a starting role, he was introduced as the game progressed and got his name on the scoresheet.

First, though, Samuel Essende equalised in the 13th minute to give SM Caen a deserved lead.

Later in the 38th minute of the first half, Alexandre Mendy was presented with a good chance and also scored to double the lead for the away team.

With a healthy lead at halftime, Caen had the advantage and only needed to see off the game in the second half.

Fortunately, the team had the men and even grabbed a third goal courtesy of a strike from Ghanaian attacker Godson Kyeremeh in the 85th minute.

After the convincing win, SM Caen are through to the next round of the French Cup.
