Ghanaian youngster Nathaniel Opoku has expressed readiness to stay at OH Leuven after loan spell spell.
The on-loan Leicester City attacker has established himself as a key cog to the OH Leuven outfit since his arrival in January.
The English Premier League outfit signed the Ghanaian youngster in the January transfer window and loaned him out to the Belgium club.
His loan deal is expected to run out at the end of the 2022/23 football season.
He capped an impressive performance with a goal and assist as Leuven inflicted a 4-1 win over Mechelen in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League last weekend.
Despite uncertainty about his future, the 21-year-old says he is ready to stay at the Belgium outfit.
“That’s not my decision. I just show what I can do and try to contribute something, the rest is for others to decide. Neither from OH Leuven nor from Leicester have I heard anything about next season.
“I have no idea where I will play then, but if Leicester think it’s a good idea for me to stay in Leuven for another year, that’s fine.” He told Het Nieuwsblad.
Since joining the club, the 21-year-old has featured 6 times, scoring 2 goals and providing an assist.
