Former Accra Hearts of Oak attacker Daniel Afriyie Barnieh has stated that he is happy to train with his new teammates for the first time and he can't wait for his debut.
In a video tweeted by FC Zurich Barnieh can be seen walking at the training grounds and reacting to his first day with the Swiss side.
"Hi fans I am here happy to have my first training session with my teammates it went well. Can't wait for my debut," he said.
Barnieh participated in Ghana's poor showing at the 2022 CHAN competition. He scored and was also sent off in the competition created for players in the domestic leagues.
He returned to Ghana to say goodbye to his club and teammates before flying to Switzerland.
The youngster has won one Ghana Premier League title, two FA Cup titles, Super Cup and the 2022 President Cup.
At the national level, he captained Ghana's U20 team to win both the WAFU and AFCON titles in 2020.
He was instrumental in the Black Galaxies qualifying for the 2022 CHAN tournament as the top scorer and also made Ghana's final squad for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Daniel Afriyie Barnieh will like be in FC Zurich's matchday squad to face Winterthur in the Swiss League.
FC Zurich is 9th on the league table with 19 points.
