Moritz-Broni Kwarteng has finally played his first minutes for VfL Bochum after recovering from injury.
The new signing is still not ready to be considered fully fit. Kwarteng moved to Bundesliga club VfL Bochum this summer from FC Magdeburg.
In the friendly against VV St. Truiden, the offensive midfielder played for around 30 minutes.
Due to a pubic bone condition, he had missed all previous competitive and test matches. Kwarteng was meticulously built up by Bochum after his summer signing.
“I'm happy to finally be on the pitch in more than just running shoes. A lot of baggage has been lifted from me. That was a huge step for me,” said the 25-year-old after his effort.
"Nevertheless, there is still a lot of ground to be made up until it reaches the oft-quoted 100 percent. I’ll give it my all every day.
“But of course you’ve also seen that I still have a long way to go,”
