The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku has led FIFA Director Member Associations Africa Gelson Fernandes to tour the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence.
The tour was to give the FIFA Director the chance to acquaint himself with work done so far and projects that have been earmarked towards the development of the Centre to a world-class standard.
While in Ghana, Fernandes held discussions with President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif (Hon.), and the Parliamentary Select Committee on Youth, Sports, and Culture.
Gelson Fernandes, a former Swiss international midfielder made the trip to Ghana to check on progress made so far since the Normalization Committee era.
He has since had an overview of the football ecosystem and discussed plans and programs that are needed to develop football in Ghana.
Earlier, he held talks with GFA President Kurt Okraku as well as Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Mustapha Ussif.
