According to reports in Spain, La Liga champions Real Madrid is interested in Bayer Leverkusen’s defender Jeremie Frimpong.
Frimpong has had a fantastic start to the season, scoring four goals in the Bundesliga and providing two assists in the Champions League.
The reports also state that Real Madrid has dispatched scouts to Germany to watch the Netherlands U21 international.
Frimpong will want to make Louis van Gaal's World Cup team, although Ghana is also interested in the defender, who may possibly select England.
Frimpong signed for German side Bayer Leverkusen on 27 January 2021 from Celtic for an undisclosed fee. The 21-year-old signed a four-and-a-half-year deal.
He is a former Manchester City youth player he made regular appearances in Premier League 2 and the UEFA Youth League.
Frimpong has represented the Netherlands at under-19 youth international level, and made his international debut against Armenia U19 in November 2018. In November 2019, he made his under-20 debut.
