Seth Paintsil backs brother Joseph Paintsil to earn a place in Black Stars for next Ghana assignment

Seth Paintsil, the senior brother of Joseph Paintsil has indicated that he believes his younger brother should have earned a place in the Ghana squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

According to the TSV Hartberg forward, he was disappointed that the KRC Genk attacker was excluded from the final 26-man Black Stars squad for the Qatar tournament.

“I was disappointed Joseph Paintsil was not part of Ghana Black stars world cup squad.

“My brother was in fantastic form this season scoring goals and assisting for his club KRC GENK in Belgium league but It was unfortunately he couldn't make it to the final Ghana 26-man squad to the FIFA World Cup,” Seth Paintsil said in an interview with Original FM on the Super Sports Show.

In the interview, Seth Paintsil stressed that he is confident Joseph Paintsil will continue to excel at Genk to return to the Black Stars squad for the next Ghana assignment.

“I believe my brother will fight hard to come back into the Black stars team again in our next AFCON qualifiers and I believe the Black stars team will bounce back to success root,” Seth Paintsil said.

Ghana in the first quarter of 2023 will be involved in the qualification for the 2023 AFCON scheduled to be staged in Ivory Coast in early 2024.
