The family of the deceased Black Stars winger, Christian Atsu, has expressed their deep gratitude to the government, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and the people of Ghana for the support they have received following the tragic earthquake in Turkey that claimed the life of their son.
According to Robert Ani, the family spokesperson, the outpouring of love and support from Ghanaians has been overwhelming.
"The support of government and Ghanaians has been overwhelming. First, I want to thank President Akufo-Addo for taking a keen interest right from when the incident occurred," he told Citi TV.
"The President has been very helpful. We just want to say thank you to him and Ghanaians as well. The support has been overwhelming. People have been calling, visiting and offering the support they can. So far, I will say that it has been overwhelming."
