A. K Edusei, a former Black Queens and Asante coach has stated Ghana Football Association needs to create a development plan for football in the country.
After Ghana's failure to excel at two major tournaments that is the 33rd African Cup of Nations in Cameroon and the 2022 World Cup in Qatar this year some stakeholders have shared their ideas of how Ghana can do better at tournaments.
In the two tournaments, Ghana finished last in the group, and our performance at the 33rd African Cup of Nations was Ghana's worse showing in history.
Ghana's women's national teams also did not perform well in the tournaments they participated in this year.
"We should not limit the issues to coach me as a former coach I know that it is not always the coach. The way we are developing our football that is not the way to do it. The coach can go round and pick players he is coming to work with players and the players are the most important material. And if their (players) preparation haven't been good I coming talking about individual and not team here lies the problem. The coach will do all he can but it will be difficult for him to succeed," he told Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com
"We shouldn't limit the issue always to coaching or this is the type of coach we should pick. We have to sit down and plan a whole development plan for our soccer right from the basics and make sure over a period we will produce the right type of players and when you give them to a competent coach you are sure of success,"
