Former Asante Kotoko and Black Queens coach A.K. Edusei want football authorities to find competent people to implement any football development plan Ghana produces.
Coach Edusei was reacting to calls for Ghana to implement a football development plan which will help our various national sides and clubs in the domestic leagues.
Ghana returned from the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with three points and at bottom of Group H. Earlier in the year the Black Stars of Ghana returned from the 2022 Afcon with one point and bottom of Group C.
Ghana's Women's national sides have also struggled in tournaments they participated in this year.
"When we talk about development we should have a plan on paper and find people you will use to implement the plan so that it succeeds. Until we get something like that...Uncle Ben and when Kwesi Nyantakyi came also tried doing something their own version of the plan but unfortunately they couldn't go far," he told Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com
Uncle Ben's plan helped us to go to the World Cup so we need to go back to the drawing board and look at a proper plan that we will use to develop our football at all levels right from the children to the national team Black Stars. Until we do that we will keep on inviting foreign-born players camp for three months and go for a competition no I don't think that is the way to go,"
