Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player Kofi Ntow Gyan has stated that Ghana Football Association should maintain the Black Stars technical team and appoint Chris Hughton as head coach.
Ghana is looking for a coach after Otto Addo resigned after Ghana's 2-0 defeat to Uruguay in the 2022 World Cup on 2nd December.
According to Kofi Ntow Gyan, we should maintain the players and technical team because the whole squad has potential despite going out from the World Cup at the group stage. He added that inexperience affected Ghana at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
"I think for now if we say that we are looking for a coach to take over the Black Stars for me as a former footballer and now a technical man I will prefer that the coaches that took the youngsters to the World Cup apart from Otto Addo who has resigned if we can maintain the rest of the coaches to me I prefer that than going for someone from outside," he told Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com
"The person we will go for from outside he is now bringing a new plan or a new strategy but with this one if we look at the performance the players showed for this particular World Cup despite leaving through the group stage we didn't perform badly. I see that inexperience affected us so if we can maintain them and the technical team it will help us a lot,"
