Charlton Athletic coach, Ben Garner has hinted that Jojo Wollacott will be in Qatar despite missing out on Ghana's final squad for the Mundial.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper could not make the Black Stars squad for the tournament after fracturing his finger.
Wollacott is expected to undergo surgery this week.
However, Gerner says the Wollacott will be in Qatar for the tournament after the surgery.
“My understanding is that following surgery he will still meet up with the Ghana squad and remain a key member of their traveling party," he told the club website.
"Knowing Jojo as I do he will respond to this setback with great maturity and a determination to come back even stronger.
“I think the world of him both as a person and as a player. It goes without saying that Jojo will receive our full love, care, and support throughout this coming period," he added.
Wollacott has been a key figure for the Black Stars and kept the post in the decider against Nigeria during the playoff games.
