The head coach of the Morocco national team, Walid Regragui has stressed that his team will be playing to win when they face France in the semi-finals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday.

The gaffer has excelled with his squad at the ongoing tournament in Qatar after beating the likes of Belgium, Spain, and Portugal.

Now up against France, Morocco wants to become the first side to play in the final of the tournament.

Speaking in a pre-match press conference ahead of the France match, Coach Walid Regragui said, "We would like to enter history. We do not want to wait 40 years until there is a chance to pass. Tomorrow is our chance to put an African team on top of the World Cup.”

The highly-rated tactician added, "We are not here, and tomorrow we will try to reach the final.

“We have many injuries, but we recover quickly, and we have medical staff at a very high level, and there is good news, and we will make the decision (regarding the formation) in the last moments. I did not eliminate anyone, and another was not sure of being in the starting lineup.”

That crucial semi-final match between France and Morocco is scheduled to kick off at 19:00gmt at the Education City Stadium later tonight.
