Senegal are hoping head coach Aliou Cisse will recover from his illness in time for Sunday's clash against England in the round of 16 of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
The African champions had to beat Ecuador in their final Group A match to progress to the knock out stage, having secured second spot behind the Netherlands.
England have faced African opposition 20 times, including seven at a World Cup, and have yet to lose, however, Senegal will look to become the first African country to beat them.
"Yesterday (Friday) he let us take the training, using his instructions and the content he had decided," said Bogaert, who stood in for Cisse at the press conference in Doha.
"This afternoon (Saturday) we hope he will be on the field, but we are sure that tomorrow night at 10:00 pm (1900 GMT) it is him who will lead the team", he added.
Aliou Cisse has been in charge of Senegal since 2015 and guided the Lions of Teranga to their first-ever Africa Cup of Nations title this year, beating Egypt in the final.
