Ghana legend, Asamoah Gyan has stressed that he is very convinced the Black Stars have the quality to progress from the group stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Speaking to Kessben FM, the former Black Stars captain indicated that Ghana did the same at the 2010 edition of the world cup and can equally do the same this year.
He is of the view that what the national team needs to do is to believe that it is possible.
“We can quality from our group with ease. In 2010 the same thing happened. We went there and lift the flag of Ghana high by playing in the quarter-finals which was an improvement,” Asamoah Gyan shared in an interview.
The legendary striker added, “Before you can win the World Cup you need to quality form your group which is possible so I believe these players can do that. The players must believe they can do it and it’s possible.”
At the end of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea in Group H.
