ACC expansion: Stanford and Cal (and SMU, really?) would add nothing to a proud conference

There might be plenty of good reasons for the Atlantic Coast Conference to consider expansion. But none would be properly addressed by reaching all the way to the Pacific coast to add Stanford and California.
