Black Galaxies media officer, William Bossman, says the team’s training tour in Egypt before the 2022 Championship of African Nations (CHAN) has helped them adjust to the cold Algeria weather.
He disclosed the weather in Algeria is freezing and the stopover in Cairo was significant for the team.
Ghana will play Niger in the quarterfinal on Saturday in Oran, a city boss disclosed is warmer than Constantine, where the Black Galaxies played their group games.
Ghana spent over a week in Cairo and played friendlies before heading to Algeria for the competition.
“The training tour we did in Egypt has helped us a lot and when we came to Algeria, the weather was similar,” he told Asempa FM.
“The boys were already used to the cold conditions we experienced in Cairo.
“The weather in Constantine is extremely cold and could reach -1 some times. The weather in Oran is much different in Oran from Constantine. Oran is quite warmer than in Constantine.”
