Good evening and welcome to the live text commentary for the coverage of the encounter between Madagascar and Ghana.
The two countries are facing off tonight in a Group C contest of the 2023 CHAN tournament.
Ahead of the game scheduled to kick off at 7pm, the coach has handed a starting role to young but experienced goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.
He will be defending Ghana’s goalpost with the help of Dennis Korsah, Konadu Yiadom, Augustine Randolf, and Solomon Adomako who have been named in defense.
Gladson Awako is the star in midfield for the Black Galaxies this evening and will have support from talented youngster Dominic Nsobila.

1' We are off as Madagascar kicks us off for the first match of Group C at the CHAN 2023 tournament.
10' Goal!!! Madagascar have taken the lead after a good start to the match.
12' Ghana awarded a penalty kick. What a start to this game. Wait, the penalty decision has been overturned after teh referee consulted VAR.
14' Game on after the long holdup to review the penalty decision.
16' Ghana playing well since conceding that goal. Augustine Randolf gets in a good cross but the defense of Madagascar deals with it.
19' Almost 20 minutes into the first half and Madagascar have been the better side.
22' Ghana's decision to play the long balls have not been effective. So far Madagascar have been able to deal with all the long balls.
