Popular Nigerian comedian Craze Clown has revealed that the late Christian Atsu funded his education till he graduated.
The comedian posted a screenshot of his interaction with the footballer, who pledged to see to it that he finished school.
The lifeless body of Atsu was recovered from the rubble of the collapsed apartment he was living in on February 18, 2023, after a deadly earthquake hit Turkey and Syria.
Meanwhile, the family is yet to announce a date for the final funeral rite of the former Chelsea winger.
“Christian has been supporting me from way back in 2015. “When I lost my dad, he l reached out and offered to pay my fees till I graduated and he did," Craze Clown tweeted.
“You’ve been a great friend of mine, Chris, and I will surely miss you. I really can’t hold back the tears. Rest well brother.”
Christian Atsu’s one week observation has been set for March 4.
