Dutch lower-tier league side, FC Groningen have announced the signing of Ghanaian international Elvis Manu.
The experienced striker has been signed from Bulgarian outfit Botev Plovdiv for the rest of the 2022/23 football season.
“FC Groningen has attracted Elvis Manu. The attacker is rented from the Bulgarian Botev Plovdiv for the rest of this season,” an official club statement said on Tuesday night.
According to Mark-Jan Fledderus who is the Technical Director of the Dutch club, the experience of Elvis Manu was a key factor in bringing him to the club.
“Elvis is a player who has already experienced a lot in his career and he had the desire to show the Netherlands what he has to offer. We think that Elvis can bring us speed, power, but also a certain unpredictability,” Mark-Jan Fledderus said.
He added, “In addition, he is a player who has actually scored his goals everywhere under all circumstances. We, therefore, think that Elvis can be of immediate value to help us in our relegation battle. We wish him every success.”
In the past, Elvis Manu played for several clubs including Feyenoord, SC Cambuur, and Go Ahead Eagles.
