Mr. Jacob Partey, the father of Ghana deputy captain Thomas Partey, has led a delegation to the family home of the late Christian Atsu to show support and sign the book of condolence opened by the family for the late footballer.
The Arsenal star cannot visit the family himself and share condolences because of the ongoing season.
After spending 12 days buried beneath the wreckage, Atsu, a victim of the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria on February 6, was officially pronounced dead on February 18.
Mrs. Helina Partey, Manye Horgbayo II, Queen of Piengua Wekpeti in the Manya Krobo Traditional Area, Ernest Sorgbodzor, Thomas Partey's local representative, and Samuel Delali Zigah, the Arsenal man's publicist, were in attendance with his father Jacob Partey.
Several other Black Stars players including Abedi Ayew Pele, Asamoah Gyan, Sulley Muntari, Derek Asamoah, and Samuel Inkoom have already paid a visit to the family to mourn with them.
The one-week observation for the deceased footballer has been scheduled for March 4 at Adjiringanor Astro-Turf in Accra.
A day after scoring the game-winning goal for Hatayspor in the Turkish Super Lig match against Kasimpasa, Atsu was involved in the catastrophe.
