Ghana Football Association boss Kurt Okraku has thanked all the member associations for giving him another opportunity to lead them.

Kurt Okraku was re-elected as WAFU Zone B president on Saturday, October 15th at the 15th general assembly of WAFU Zone B. The elective congress was held in Abidjan.

Mr. Okraku went unopposed as no one filed to contest him for the position he has previously held since May 2021 after taking over from Djibrilla Hima Hamidou who stepped down.

The Ghana FA boss will serve for another four years.

“The membership associations gave me the mandate to serve the zone President Pele stepped down if you will remember to contest the Caf elections. Then he gave me the chance to serve and I think that in the last twelve months I and vice president colonel agbovi and the rest of the team have worked hard as we can," he said on Peace FM as monitored by footballghana.com

"Following that period of hard work and following that period of getting to know everyone the time came for us to go and vote. To my surprise everyone supported me so this has given me a new strength and I hope that if I continue to work hard things will pick up in the zone,"

"All the member states have believe and trust in my leadership two vice presidents Colonel Agbovi and president bansi from Burkina Faso I will be working with them plus WAFU staffs that I will work within Abidjan. Even though it is a herculean task I am also a president for Ghana I have a able team that all of us as one will work hard and help football,”
