Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah is reportedly set to leave Major League Soccer (MLS) side Columbus Crew and join San Jose Earthquakes.
Reports suggest that the Earthquakes have agreed on a deal for the 32-year-old, who only has a year left on his current contract with Crew.
Mensah joined Columbus in January 2017 after a short stint at Russian club, Anzhi Makhachkala.
He quickly became a fan-favorite at Lower.com Field, where he served as the Crew’s captain for the past two seasons.
In his four years at Columbus, Mensah made 159 appearances. He also played a key role in the team’s 2020 MLS Cup triumph.
