Ghanaian forward Abdul Aziz Yakubu has reacted to Rio Ave’s narrow defeat to Pacos Ferreira in the Portuguese top-flight.
The 24-year-old returned to action after his failed move to Egyptian side Al Ahly over medical concerns.
Yakubu was introduced in the second half of the game, replacing Leonardo Acevedo as his side suffered a 1-0 defeat on home turf.
Nigel Thomas' 35th minute strike was enough for the visitors to secure all points at stake in the clash.
"We keep going. Alhamdulilah," wrote the forward after the game.
Yakubu has been in prolific form for the Primeira Liga outfit this season, scoring six goals and providing three assists in 15 games.
His return is a major boost for Rio Ave who are battling for survival in the Portuguese top-flight.
