South Africa Football Association (SAFA) President, Danny Jordaan is not impressed with Ghana’s decision to go in for Inaki Williams.

According to him, Ghana’s module of going after players who are not born in the country and convincing them to play for the Black Stars is not one that will be followed by SAFA.

Speaking to sabcsport, Danny Jordan said, SAFA will not be distracted but will focus on producing world-class players locally.

"We must not equate a team that has 90% of their players coming from Europe and becoming citizens in order to be in the team.

"How's it possible that one [Inaki] Williams is playing for Ghana, and his brother, another [Nico] Williams, is playing for Spain?” Danny Jordaan quizzed.

The SAFA president added, "Our focus is, we must not be distracted by that. Fundamentally, our position is [that] we must produce world-class players that can compete with the best in the world.”

According to Danny Jordaan, SAFA is not at the same level as Ghana and Morocco but remains keen on bridging the gap in the coming years.
