EISENSTADT (AUT, Jul 1): Marcell Jacobs stormed to 9.67w (4.1), third fastest all-conditions 100m time, at the Raiffeisen Austrian Open Eisenstadt, ahead of Romell Glave (9.76w) and Wayde Van Niekerk (9.83w). All sprints were wind-affected, and Jamaicans dominated the 100m hurdles, Megan Simmonds in 12.51w (3.0) over Britany Anderson (12.54w).

Austrian wins for Lukas Weisshaidinger 66.11 in the discus and Magdalena Lindner 11.06w (3.7) in the 100m. Antonio Alkana clocked 13.15w (2.5) in the 110m hurdles ahead of Enzo Diessl (13.20w) and Joshua Hartmann 20.33w (3.3) in the 200m. Ernest John Obiena cleared 575 SB in difficult wind conditions in the pole vault. Lyudmila Olyanovska improved the one-mile race walk all-time world best to 6:10.09.
